Engaged Feedback Checklist

Inspired by a random Pinterest post I came across inspired by @brenebrown and her book Daring Greatly.

How do you know if you're ready to give feedback?

We've spoken about feedback and critique many times in our nudenotes journey.

But never quite like this, we've never discussed the before the feedback.
Knowing when you're ready to give feedback is probably even more important than the content of your feedback.

If you don't know who Brene Brown is - I suggest you stop what you're doing right now and go take a deep dive into her website and Podcast Dare To Lead.

I still haven't read Daring Greatly (it's on the list), but I hear great things!

Feedback is all about being constructive, honest and maintaining engagement.
Brene calls this approach: "sitting on the same side of the table", and if you're giving feedback on a daily basis, I highly recommend this checklist.

What's your favourite feedback tip?
Let me know in the comments below

I love the reframing of feedback as a You vs. Me, to an Us Vs. the problem. This simple switch completely changes your whole mindset around feedback.

I've said it before - if the workplace had better feedback systems and frameworks our lives would be a lot happier professional, and things like imposter syndrome and work place frustrations would be a thing of the past.
