Spend Your Time Better on IG
Inspired by an Instagram post created by @ebmuniz, which I came across on @davetalas IG feed.
How do you spend your time on Instagram?
Is the time spent scrolling productive - probably not.
I have spent many hours falling down the Instagram rabbit hole.
But no more…
Time spent on Instagram doesn't have to be time wasted, passively scrolling through page after pages of images.
It's time we figure out how to better use this platform - be active, not passive.
Learning new things and connecting with people.
These notes have helped me change the way I think about time spent on Instagram. I have massively scaled back my time falling down the rabbit hole.
I hope these notes help you do the same.

Inspired by a list from LifeHack.org called, 9 Tricks to Learn Everything Faster.

booknotes: 101 Things I Learned in Business School
Another book recommendation from The Futur, I read this book because there was a gap in my knowledge about the business side of design.
One of my motivators is ABL (Always Be Learning) - if there’s something I don’t know, I’ll try to learn about it.
I enjoyed the concise, bite-sized layout of information - particularly useful when I didn’t know much about the particular subject.
It’s an excellent read for anyone looking to brush-up on their business knowledge.
I made a lot of nudenotes on this book - 16 pages’ worth - and there’s lots more that I wasn’t able to cover, so it’s well-worth a read to those who want to find out more.
Why Organisations Don’t Learn
Inspired by a Harvard Business Review Article, discovered on Tanmay Vora’s blog.
Why organisation don't learn?
Find yourself making the same mistakes over and over at work? Not learning from mistakes can damage your business and brand in the long term.
As Harvard Business Review said in their article:
"It may be cheaper and easier in the short run to ignore failures, schedule work so that there’s no time for reflection, require compliance with organizational norms, and turn to experts for quick solutions. But these short-term approaches will limit the organization’s ability to learn."
I agree with Tanmay when he said culture is the key to how organisations learn and turn that knowledge into meaningful results.
You can invest all the money in the world in tools and processes, but if individuals are not empowered to share knowledge without fear. Nothing will ever change!
How will you unleash the power of learning in your organisation?
How to Feed a Community
Inspired by Greg Satell, which I discovered through Tanmay Vora’s blog.
How to feed a community?
"Learning is a social act and we learn the most when we learn together"
This is what nudenotes are all about - sharing knowledge about the business of design .
I hope that my nudenotes: support, connect, educate, resonate, innovate and expand mindsets - empowering everyone to win at life and business.
Skills for Success
Inspired by an article Tanmay Vora blog.
What skills do you need for a successful career?
These are a list of seven skills for success you should learn to help you in the robotic automated takeover of the future!
There was this great quote used in the blog by Socrates :
"The secret of change is to focus all your energy, not in fighting the old, but on building the new"
The only way to beat the machines is to focus inward, develop cross disciplinary mindset, learn new skills and be agile in your creative approach.
How To Apply What You Learn
inspired by a YouTube video by The Futur
How do you turn knowledge into action, and action into wealth?
In this video Chris Do mentions sketch notes. I like to think he was thinking of my nudenotes…
Learning is the only way to not only survive, but thrive in this crazy ever-changing world of creative business.
The only way to fully understand a subject is to share and teach others about it.
This is one of the reasons I started creating nudenotes and co-founded this website - not only to understand and retain the material better, but to share it with anyone who wants to hear it.
